Established under the direct authority of the National Assembly Speaker to provide independent, non-partisan analytical support, NARS operates as the legislative branch’s core brain trust. Lawmakers utilize the service to examine overseas legislative precedents, assess economic and fiscal impacts, and analyze complex legal ambiguities before drafting bills or conducting parliamentary audits.
"This milestone carries immense personal meaning because behind every single inquiry are countless hours of deep contemplation and sweat dedicated to resolving the everyday struggles of our citizens," Rep. Cho said upon receiving the commendation.
"A lawmaker's true competitiveness does not spring from loud rhetoric or partisan dogmatism, but from meticulous fact-checking and airtight legal analysis," he emphasized.
