Coca-Cola has temporarily suspended Fairlife dairy production operations across the United States after a ransomware attack affected the subsidiary’s production systems, the company said in a disclosure to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company did not provide a timetable for restoring the affected systems. It said Fairlife’s operations in Canada were not affected by the incident.
The disruption involves one of Coca-Cola’s major dairy brands. Fairlife had estimated sales of $4 billion by 2024, according to BeverageDaily.
Cyberattacks can disrupt physical operations at food and beverage companies when production systems are affected. Previous ransomware incidents at Arizona Beverages in 2019 and food distributor UNFI in 2025 were followed by weeks-long disruptions, including effects on production lines and grocery supplies, though Coca-Cola has not said how long the Fairlife suspension may last.
